Encrypted connection
Checkout pages are served over HTTPS. Customers should verify that they are on the correct SemDev domain before entering payment information.
Payment service providers
Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. Card or other payment data may be collected and processed directly by independent payment service providers. Where SemDev does not receive full card data, it stores only information needed to manage the order, such as payment status, amount, method and transaction reference. The actual processors used by the store must be listed in the Privacy Policy: [PAYMENT_PROCESSORS].
Authentication and fraud prevention
A payment provider or issuing bank may require Strong Customer Authentication, 3-D Secure or other security checks where applicable. Proportionate fraud-prevention checks may also be used to protect customers and the store.
Prices and payment fees
The total amount payable is shown before the order is placed. Any payment-related fee must be disclosed in advance and may not exceed or be charged contrary to applicable law.
Failed payments and refunds
If a payment fails, is cancelled or is reversed, the order may remain unpaid and digital access may be withheld until the issue is resolved. Approved refunds are returned using the original payment method where reasonably possible, subject to the payment provider's processing times.
Card-data safety
Do not send full card numbers, security codes or online-banking credentials by email, chat or support ticket. SemDev support will never ask for a card security code or banking password.
